#2 Digest, 11th July
Like that friend who sends random links to the group chat, compiled every Sunday.
🚀 Investment Due Diligence
DiDi IPO and Crackdown
DiDi, Alibaba and Baidu have always been cheaply valued from a financial perspective when comparing with their American contemporaries. The regulatory risk of the CCP operational clampdowns and influence over CXOs to never fall out of line is a reminder of the reason for these fair valuations. I personally will continue to avoid Chinese equities to sleep better at night.
Billionaire Space Barons
With Bezos planned to fly July 20th and Branson July 11th, the space race is finally here. Whoever ‘wins’, one can’t help feel both optimistic for future human progress and perhaps skeptical akin to an episode of Billions. I personally have sold half of my $SPCE holdings to cover costs, but am letting the other half ride.

🎬 Entertainment Worth Consuming
Memento
Lived up to expectations and more as a Chris Nolan fanboy. Personally doesn’t quite beat out The Prestige but still a mind-blowing masterpiece.
A Sing-Lit staple that captures well both the quirks and languishing of Singapore society, but perhaps too niche to anyone without experience living in SG.
